The Uig & Bernera Development Group is a not-for-profit voluntary group of elected volunteers with the purpose of encouraging and promoting matters relating to the economic and social development of Uig and Bernera, with particular emphasis on creating employment in the area.
Current Priorities
- Improve affordable housing opportunities
- Improve access to the area's environment and heritage
- Support the community in developing facilities, services and opportunities that meet the community's needs
- Support the Community Resource Workers in the development of enhanced facilities and services for the elderly and young people
