The main launching and mooring points in Uig & Bernera are found at Miavaig at West Loch Roag, Uig, and Kirkibost Harbour, also in West Loch Roag, Bernera. Both are sheltered harbours, and moorings are available for visiting yachts.

There are toilet facilities at both piers, and visitors to Bernera can also use the showering facilities in Bernera Community Centre, which is approximately a mile away from the harbour. Showers will be installed in Uig Community Centre within the next year. Local bus services will be happy to collect from the harbour and take you to the local community centre / shops.
