Comann Eachdraidh Uig is the local historical society, concerned with collecting, preserving and promoting the rich cultural history of Uig. We are particularly interested in genealogy, tales and traditions, crofting, fishing and archaeology.

The society maintains a museum open daily in the summer months (Monday to Saturday, 12-5pm). From early September to May, the museum is open on request - please ring Finlay (01851 672224), Teen Anne (672363) or Fraser (672413) to request an opening. Groups are also welcome, preferably by appointment (and essentially in the winter.)
